(1) The Minister of Employment and Labor shall formulate a master plan for the realization of equal employment for men and women and the balance between work and family life (hereinafter referred to as “master plan”) every 5 years. <Amended on Jun. 4, 2010; Jan. 28, 2016>
(2) A master plan shall include the following matters: <Amended on Jun. 4, 2010; Jan. 28, 2016>
1. Matters relating to promoting the employment of women;
2. Matters relating to guaranteeing equal opportunities and treatment for men and women;
3. Matters relating to establishing equal pay for work of equal value;
4. Matters relating to developing the vocational abilities of women;
5. Matters relating to protecting female employees’ maternity;
6. Matters relating to supporting the balance between work and family life;
7. Matters relating to establishing and operating welfare facilities for female employees;
8. Evaluation of the immediately preceding master plan;
9. Other matters deemed necessary by the Minister of Employment and Labor to realize equal employment for men and women and to support the balance between work and family life.
(3) The Minister of Employment and Labor may, if they deem it necessary, request the heads of relevant administrative agencies or public institutions to submit materials necessary for formulating a master plan. <Added on Jan. 28, 2016>
