(1) A claim for salvage charge of a person who has engaged in a salvage shall have the preferential right on cargo salvaged: Provided, That such right shall not be exercised on such cargo after an obligor has delivered it to a third acquisitor.
(2) The provisions concerning a preferential right of Article 777 shall apply mutatis mutandis to a preferential right under paragraph (1) unless contrary to its nature.[This Article Wholly Amended by Act No. 8581, Aug. 3, 2007]
