Road Traffic Act — Article 85-3 (Issuance of conditional driver's license)

(1) A person who intends to receive a conditional driver's shall pass a driver's license test under Article 83.

(2) The commissioner of a City/Do police agency shall issue a conditional driver's license prescribed by Decree of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to those who have passed the driver's license test pursuant to paragraph (1).

(3) Where a conditional driver's license is lost or worn out, it may be reissued upon filing an application with the commissioner of the City/Do police agency, as prescribed by Decree of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

(4) When the conditional period of the conditional driver's license issued pursuant to paragraph (2) has elapsed, the relevant condition shall be deemed extinguished.

(5) Article 87-2 shall apply mutatis mutandis to the verification of the identity of persons eligible for the issuance of conditional drivers' licenses. In such cases, "driver's license" shall be construed as "conditional driver's license".[This Article Added on Jan. 30, 2024]
