(1) This Act shall apply to all businesses or workplaces that employ employees (hereinafter referred to as “business”); provided, the whole or part of this Act need not apply to any business prescribed by Presidential Decree.
(2) Except as otherwise provided in other statutes, this Act shall apply to matters relating to the realization of equal employment for men and women and the balance between work and family life.[This Article Wholly Amended on Dec. 21, 2007]
