Occupational Safety and Health Act — Article 54 (Measures by business owners in cases of serious accidents)

산업안전보건법 제54조

(1) When a serious accident occurs, a business owner shall take necessary safety and health measures, including immediately suspending the relevant work and evacuating employees from the work sites.

(2) Where a business owner becomes aware of a serious accident, he or she shall report such accident to the Minister of Employment and Labor without delay, as prescribed by Decree of the Ministry of Employment and Labor; provided, any unavoidable reason exists such as a natural disaster, a business owner shall report without delay when the relevant reason ceases to exist.
