(1) When the Minister of Justice requests provision of basic personal information on aliens to be used for business affairs under relevant statutes or regulations, such as investigation of aliens, institution and maintenance of a public prosecution, and taxation, by the head of an administrative agency under subparagraph 2 of Article 2 of the Electronic Government Act and a public agency under subparagraph 3 of that Article (hereinafter referred to as "administrative agency, etc." in this Article), he or she may provide such information.
(2) The head of an administrative agency, etc. shall manage basic personal information on aliens provided in accordance with paragraph (1) in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
(3) Matters necessary for the methods, procedures, etc. for providing basic personal information on aliens under paragraph (1) shall be prescribed by Decree of the Ministry of Justice.
(4) The Minister of Justice may recommend the head of an administrative agency, etc. conducting business affairs under relevant statutes or regulations, such as investigation of aliens, institution and maintenance of a public prosecution, and taxation, to receive basic personal information on aliens in accordance with paragraph (1) and use it for the relevant business affairs.[This Article Added on Dec. 20, 2024]
