(1) A Secretariat shall be established within the Immigration Detention Review Committee to handle its administrative affairs and conduct investigations.
(2) The secretary-general shall, under the direction of the chairperson, handle the affairs of the Immigration Detention Review Committee.
(3) Immigration detention investigators shall be assigned to the Secretariat, and the immigration detention investigators shall, under the direction of the chairperson, conduct investigations into the matters set forth in each subparagraph of Article 66-5 and perform duties related thereto.
(4) The secretary-general and the immigration detention investigators shall be appointed from among persons with substantial knowledge and experience in affairs of detention of aliens, and specific matters concerning their qualifications and quota shall be prescribed by Presidential Decree.
(5) Except as provided in paragraphs (1) through (4), matters concerning the organization and operation of the Secretariat shall be prescribed by Presidential Decree.[This Article Added on Mar. 18, 2025]
