(1) A person who uses violence or intimidation against the sovereign of a foreign country sojourning in the Republic of Korea shall be punished by imprisonment with or without labor for not more than seven years.
(2) A person who insults, or defames the sovereign of a foreign country as referred to in the preceding paragraph shall be punished by imprisonment with or without labor for not more than five years.
