(1) Broadcast organizations who have the authority to broadcast works may make ephemeral sound or visual recordings of a work for the purpose of their own broadcasting and by means of their own facilities.
(2) Sound or visual recordings made under paragraph (1) may not be kept for a period exceeding one year from the date of such recording; provided, this shall not apply where they are kept as public records materials at places prescribed by Presidential Decree. <Amended on May 18, 2021; Aug. 8, 2023>
