(1) Where a shipmaster disposes of cargo during a voyage, he/she shall dispose of such cargo by the most appropriate means for the interests of the interested parties.
(2) In cases falling under paragraph (1), an interested party shall be liable to a creditor on account of the disposal by a shipmaster within the limit of the value of the cargo: Provided, That the same shall not apply in cases where the interested party is at fault.[This Article Wholly Amended by Act No. 8581, Aug. 3, 2007]
