The provisions of this Part shall not be changed to the disadvantage of a policyholder, the insured or a beneficiary by a special agreement between the parties: Provided, That this shall not apply in cases of reinsurance, marine insurance and other similar types of insurance. <Amended by Act No. 4470, Dec. 31, 1991>
