(1) If the person having chonsegwon has defrayed expenses for the purpose of improving the subject matter of chonsegwon, or other useful expenses, he or she may, so long as the increase in value remains, require reimbursement from the owner either of the amount defrayed, or the amount by which its value has increased, at the option of said owner.
(2) In the case of the preceding paragraph, the court may, upon the application of the owner, allow him or her reasonable time for reimbursement.
