Trademark Act — Article 198 (Special Cases of Duration of Trademark Rights)

(1) The duration of internationally registered basic trademark rights shall remain in force until the date 10 years elapse after the date of international registration from the date trademark rights under Article 197 are registered and established.

(2) The duration of internationally registered basic trademark rights may be renewed every 10 years through the renewal of the duration of the international registration.

(3) Where the duration of internationally registered basic trademark rights is renewed pursuant to paragraph (2), the duration of such internationally registered basic trademark rights shall be deemed renewed at the time of the expiration of the duration thereof.

(4) None of the provisions of Articles 83 through 85, 88 (1) and 209 through 213 shall apply to internationally registered basic trademark rights.
