(1) Where a person whose driver's license has been revoked for another violation of Article 44 (1), (2), or (5) within five years from the date of a previous violation of paragraph (1), (2), or (5) of that Article (limited to cases where the person drives a motor vehicle, etc. or tram, but excluding cases where the person drove personal mobility equipment) intends to drive a motor vehicle, etc., he or she shall obtain a conditional driver's license, which requires the installation of an ignition interlock device, from the commissioner of the competent City/Do police agency (hereinafter referred to as "conditional driver's license: hereinafter the same shall apply). <Amended on Dec. 3, 2024>
(2) The ignition interlock device shall be attached for a period of time equal to the driver's license disqualification period applicable to the subject of a conditional driver's license issued pursuant to Article 82 (2) 1 through 9, and the period of attachment shall be calculated from the day after the end of the driver's license disqualification period.
(3) Matters necessary for the scope, issuance, types, etc. for conditional driver's licenses under paragraph (1) shall be prescribed by Decree of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.[This Article Added on Oct. 24, 2023]
