(1) The State may fully or partially subsidize expenses incurred in establishing and managing protection areas for children under Article 12 and protection areas for senior citizens and persons with disabilities under Article 12-2 to local governments, within the budget; provided, the subsidies shall be provided preferentially to protection areas where traffic accidents involving children, senior citizens, or persons with disabilities occur frequently. <Amended on Aug. 11, 2015; Oct. 16, 2018>
