(1) The term of a patent shall begin on the registration date of the grant of the patent right under Article 87 (1) and last for 20 years from the filing date of the patent application.
(2) Where a patent is granted for a patent application filed by the legitimate right-holder under Article 34 or 35, the term of the patent under paragraph (1) shall begin on the day immediately following the filing date of the patent application filed by the unentitled person.[This Article Wholly Amended on Jun. 11, 2014]
