Procedures initiated by a person who lacks legal capacity or authority for legal representation or by a person whose delegated authority is defective, which is necessary for initiating a patent-related procedure, shall take effect retroactively back to the time such procedures were initiated, if the procedures are ratified by the principal or legal representative when he or she has gained capacity to proceed.[This Article Wholly Amended on Jun. 11, 2014]
