(1) If the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office or an administrative patent judge is unable to perform any of his or her duties due to a natural disaster or other extraordinary circumstances, the procedure pending before the Korean Intellectual Property Office or the Korean Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board shall be suspended until such circumstances cease to exist.
(2) If a relevant party is unable to resume a procedure pending before the Korean Intellectual Property Office or the Korean Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board due to an obstacle that persists for an indefinite duration, the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office or the competent administrative patent judge may determine to order the suspension of the procedure until the obstacle is removed.
(3) The Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office or an administrative patent judge may revoke the determination made under paragraph (2).
(4) When the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office or the presiding judge suspends a procedure under paragraph (1) or (2) or revokes a determination under paragraph (3), he or she shall notify all relevant parties thereof.[This Article Wholly Amended on Jun. 11, 2014]
