The President or the Minister of Justice may dismiss or remove a member if the member falls under any of the following subparagraphs:
1. Where a member is deemed incapable of performing his or her duties, or is deemed to have substantial difficulty in performing such duties, due to mental or physical incapacity or other similar grounds;
2. Where a member conducts misdeed related to his or her duties;
3. Where a member is deemed unfit to perform his or her duties as a member due to neglect of duties, injury to dignity, or any other reason;
4. Where a person fails to recuse himself or herself despite falling under any of the grounds specified in Article 66-9(1) or (2);
5. Where a member expresses his or her intention that he or she is unable to perform his or her duties.[This Article Added on Mar. 18, 2025]
