(1) A person detained pursuant to a detention order, or his or her legal representative, etc., may, if he or she has an objection to the detention, file a request for review of the detention with the Immigration Detention Review Committee under Article 66-4 (hereinafter referred to as the "Immigration Detention Review Committee") through the head of the Regional Immigration Service.
(2) Upon receiving a request for review under paragraph (1), the Immigration Detention Review Committee shall, without delay, examine the relevant documents and render a decision dismissing the request if it finds the request to be groundless, or a decision to release the detained person if it finds the request to be well-grounded.[This Article Wholly Amended on Mar. 18, 2025]
