(1) Meetings of the Immigration Detention Review Committee may be held by remote video conference attended by participants, such as members, parties, and other interested persons, at different places equipped with a device simultaneously transmitting and receiving video images and voice. In such cases, members and attendees shall be deemed present at the same meeting place.
(2) Where a member who is a public official falling under Article 66-6 (2) 1 and 2 of the Act (excluding a standing member under Article 66-6 (4) of the Act) is unable to attend a meeting of the Immigration Detention Review Committee due to any unavoidable reason, a public official who is in a position immediately lower than him or her may attend the meeting on his or her behalf and perform his or her duties on his or her behalf.
(3) "Cases prescribed by Presidential Decree" in the former part of Article 66-13 (2) of the Act means the following documents:
1. Where it falls under any subparagraph of Article 5 (2) of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Establishment and Management of Councils, Commissions and Committees under Administrative Agencies;
2. Where only a resolution is required after deliberation, etc. by the Immigration Detention Review Committee in advance.[This Article Added on May 27, 2025]
