2. An employee whose contractual working hours in the relevant business are less than the number of hours prescribed by Presidential Decree;
3. A public official prescribed in the State Public Officials Act or the Local Public Officials Act; provided, public officials in extraordinary civil service and public officials in a fixed term position prescribed in Article 26-5 of the State Public Officials Act and Article 25-5 of the Local Public Officials Act may purchase employment insurance (limited to Chapter IV) at their own will, as prescribed by Presidential Decree;
4. A person subject to the Pension for Private School Teachers and Staff Act;
5. Any other person prescribed by Presidential Decree.
(2) Chapters IV and V shall not apply to a person who is employed at or over the age of 65 (excluding where a person who has maintained his or her insured status before the age of 65 continues to be employed at or over the age of 65), or commences a business as a self-employed person at or over the age of 65. <Added on Jan. 15, 2019>[Title Amended on Jun. 4, 2013]
