Electronic Financial Transactions Act — Article 36-2 (Rules of conduct of prepaid business entities)

전자금융거래법 제36조의2

No prepaid business entities shall engage in any of the following activities:

1. Providing economic benefits to users, such as discount issuance of prepaid electronic payment means or payment of reserves, by a person who fails to meet the requirements for financial soundness prescribed by Presidential Decree;

2. Providing economic benefits without separately managing the relevant amount referred to in subparagraph 1 pursuant to Article 25-2;

3. Reducing the number of chain stores that can use a prepaid electronic payment means unfavorably for users without notifying the users thereof within the period prescribed by Presidential Decree, or changing the terms and conditions of using the prepaid electronic payment means;

4. Other activities prescribed by Presidential Decree, which are likely to undermine the protection of users or sound trading practices.[This Article Added on Sep. 14, 2023]
