(1) When a person denounces himself or herself to an investigation agency after committing a crime, the punishment may be mitigated or remitted.
(2) The punishment may be mitigated or remitted when voluntary confession is made to the victim in respect to crimes which cannot be prosecuted against the victim's will.[This Article Wholly Amended on Dec. 8, 2020]
