(1) A person who illegally arrests or confines another, shall be punished by imprisonment with labor for not more than five years, or a fine not exceeding seven million won. <Amended on Dec. 29, 1995>
(2) When the crime as referred to in paragraph (1) is committed on the lineal ascendant of the offender or his or her spouse, he or she shall be punished by limited imprisonment with labor for not more than ten years, or a fine not exceeding 15 million won. <Amended on Dec. 29, 1995>
