A person who, in performing, supervising, or assisting in activities concerning prosecution, police, or other functions involving investigation of crimes, makes public, before request for public trial, the facts of a suspected crime which he or she has learned in the course of performing his or her duties, shall be punished by imprisonment with labor for not more than three years or suspension of qualifications for not more than five years.[This Article Wholly Amended on Dec. 8, 2020]
