(1) Where no supervisor of guardianship for a minor is designated under Article 940-2 and if deemed necessary, the Family Court may appoint a supervisor of guardianship for the minor either ex officio or upon application of the minor, any of the minor's relatives, the guardian of the minor, a public prosecutor, or the head of a local government.
(2) Where a supervisor of guardianship for a minor becomes absent due to the death or disqualification, or by any other cause, the Family Court shall appoint a supervisor of guardianship for the minor either ex officio or upon the application of the minor, any of the minor's relatives, the guardian of the minor, a public prosecutor, or the head of a local government.[This Article Added on Mar. 7, 2011]
