Civil Act — Article 485 (Loss or diminution of security by obligee and discharge of person entitled to constructive subrogation)

Where there is a person entitled to the rights of subrogation in accordance with the provisions of Article 481, and the security is lost or diminished by the obligee's intention or negligence, such person shall be relieved of his or her liability in so far as it has become impossible for him or her to be reimbursed by reason of loss or diminution.
