(1) Where there are several sureties, one of whom has effected performance in excess of the share incumbent on him or her, the provisions of Article 444 shall apply mutatis mutandis.
(2) Where the principal obligation is indivisible or each surety has assumed the obligation for which they are jointly and severally liable to each other or with the principal obligor, and one of the sureties has effected performance in excess of the share incumbent on him or her, the provisions of Articles 425 through 427 shall apply mutatis mutandis.
